Walnut kitchens and a project in Cannes at Mark Taylor Design Ltd

The spring has seen continuing success with many projects finishing and new beginning. We recently completed a beautiful walnut kitchen in a new-build in Beaconsfield with a huge wall of walnut units with built-in LCD flat screen TV above four Gaggenau ovens. Complete with home entertainment, this kitchen is large open-plan and luxurious; designed around the familys’ love for entertaining, with a space the whole family can enjoy together.

The curved round island has a stunning Emperador Dark work surface with built-in Teppanyaki grill, stainless steel under-mount prep sink, LED lighting and ample storage beneath. The curved island in its guest-facing situation houses the wine fridges, coffee facilities and a large granite-topped prep area. The kitchen has designated areas for cooking, entertaining and relaxation, with a small study for the childrens’ homework.

The owner of the house was very pleased with the result saying, “Lots of people ask me if I would ever consider moving….but I have to say that I love the kitchen so much, it’s the one thing that would stop me from leaving here”.

Our Cannes project approaches its completion. Many new projects are now underway, from a large internal and external project near Burnham Beeches to a bespoke kitchen in a Victorian town house in Knightsbridge. Some lovely new and innovative designs have recently been commissioned, including a joinery project in Shepherd Bush and audio-visual living spaces and bedrooms in North London.

Our use of the CAD systems continues to ensure we are able to produce accurate and high quality designs aided by our recent move onto a fully integrated Mac system.
